As a world language department, we have organized a French and Spanish Camp for elementary school students to ignite interest in learning another language and about another culture. The French or Spanish Camp is offered to any elementary school students in grades 1-4. The Chippewa Falls School District does not otherwise have an option for elementary students to take a world language. 

The high school students in Spanish and French along with the world language department run this day camp. The high school students teach a variety of language and cultural activities to the students. They also get to participate in an authentic lunch and dessert.  This opportunity has been extremely successful in our district and has piqued a lot of interest from elementary school students to take French and Spanish starting in middle school.
