Resources specific to administrators and office staff such as procedures for technology access for new teachers, long term substitutes, and more
Directions for setting it up:
If setting up a calendar for shared meetings such as for the special education team, consider a group calendar instead.
Add a new event in Outlook and when you add attendees using Scheduling Poll, it shows their availability for that date.
Long Term Substitute Procedures
1) The school secretary fills out the district security form for the long-term substitute. This form needs to be signed by the principal with the ending date for the long-term substitute assignment, and then faxed to the Help Desk at 548-6003.
2) Help Desk will create a computer log on account, configure the computer (desktop and/or laptop), set up an email account for the long-term substitute, and set up an Aeries.net account, if needed.
Once the sub is the teacher of record, they will have Illuminate access for assessments.
Teacher New to the District
1) The school secretary fills out the district security form for the new teacher. This form needs to be signed by the principal and then faxed to the Help Desk at 548-6003. Help Desk will also set up the Aeries.net account, if needed/requested.
2) Once the security form has been submitted, Help Desk will set up the user accounts such as Active Directory, email, Aeries.net (if needed), etc. The new teacher contacts the Help Desk at Ext 1170 to set a network password. (If a device is sent in, Help Desk will also set it up for the new user.)
3) Illuminate accounts for new teachers are set-up within two weeks automatically. Please ask your site administrator for assistance.
Please direct them to the Staff channel at the top of all district and school websites where they will find many helpful links.
Current Teachers New to a Site

3) The teacher contacts one of the technology trainers to move their school site on Blackboard. techtrainers@chino.k12.ca.us or ext. 1600 Please provide name, former school, and new school site.
4) Illuminate accounts update within 10 days automatically. Please ask your site administrator for assistance.

A newer feature in ParentSquare lets you create appointment sign ups, perfect for conferences, IEPs, and more! They have provided a video and step by step screenshots on how to create an appointment post.
