Physical Education (Grades 7 & 8)
PE provides students with opportunities to develop lifelong fitness, teamwork, and social-emotional skills while experiencing a wide variety of activities.
Program Highlights

Seasonal Activities
Fall: Soccer, Flag Football, Ultimate Frisbee, Pickleball, Fitness Testing, Field Hockey, Capture the Flag
Winter: Basketball, Volleyball, Floor Hockey, Team Handball, Yoga, Fitness Center, Badminton, Project Adventure, Bowling, Dance/Fitness activities
Spring: Softball, Tennis, Track & Field, Golf/Disc Golf, Archery, Field Day Games
Requirements
- Uniforms: Shorts, t-shirt, socks, sneakers
- Required for safety, hygiene, and ease of movement
- Ordered before entering Dodd; replacements available from PE staff
- Schedule: Meets every other day all year (Grades 7 & 8)

Goal: To empower students with the knowledge, skills, and habits to lead healthy, active, and balanced lives — now and in the future.
Interscholastic sports are offered throughout the year during the three sport seasons. Participation in these programs is elective and selective depending on the sport. The following sports are offered:
Fall: Cross Country, Field Hockey, Girls Soccer, Boys Soccer, Volleyball
Winter: Girls Basketball, Boys Basketball, Cheerleading
Spring: Girls Track & Field, Boys Track & Field, Baseball, Softball
Why uniforms?
Uniforms are required for safety (no pockets for implements), freedom of movement and personal hygiene.
Where are uniforms purchased?
Parents order student uniforms the summer before entering Dodd. Replacement uniforms may be purchased from the physical education staff.
