Hello, I am Amy Larson the Cherry Creek Academy Librarian. My professional background is comprised of sixteen years in various school and public library settings. My first library experience was with the Laramie County Public Library System in Cheyenne, Wyoming as a circulation assistant. Eventually, I became the head of circulation. After two years, I moved to Austin, Texas and worked as a materials processor for the City of Austin Library. Then, another move brought a new job with the Arapahoe County Library District in Aurora. I was employed seven years working as a circulation assistant, and eventually became a children’s reference librarian. In addition, I served CCA for two years as a library volunteer and then as a library assistant. After that, I became a literacy aid, teaching reading skills to kindergarten and first grade students. Now, I am happy to say, I have the rewarding job of working with CCA’s children as the school librarian.
