About the Program

The Governor's School of North Carolina is a residential summer program for Gifted and Talented high school students. Summer curriculum includes integrated curriculum, visual and performing arts, and a variety of unique courses. Students are nominated through a district process, and then competitively selected for participation in the state-wide program. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the summer program was cancelled.

This program is coordinated by the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools Director of Gifted Education. See a list of students selected for the state-wide program HERE.
