Physics Department
The department is formed by head of the department and a few master and PhD students who work together in an interactive and collaborative environment doing research in material science. Currently we have a research lab equipped with some good quality instruments such as (Atomic force microscope, Spin Coating device, UV-Vis spectrometer, IV characteristic equipment). Our research focuses on the polymer composite fabrication and characterization. Polymer blends are prepared by casting method and various additives are used to modify both electrical and optical properties of polymers. Also organic polymer materials are synthesized to be developed as core research in organic polymer solar cells. The department has a plan to found a photonic laboratory to provide facilities for researchers in this field.
Biology department
Biology department is one of the departments of the Charmo center for research, training and consultancy. Currently, the department is equipped with some basic high-quality instruments such as thermal cycler. real-Time PCR, gel documentation system and most of the basic microbiological equipment.
Encouraging students and researchers to enroll in life science research projects, and creating strong multidisciplinary team work approach with other university departments are among the missions of the department.
The vision of the biology department comprises training and supporting of undergraduate, post graduate students and researchers in biological research. Nevertheless, we have commenced collaboration with other departments and industries to perform relevant examination and lab tests to check the quality of drinking water, food industries, pharmaceutical industries and clinical investigations.
Chemistry Department
Department of Chemistry Science in Charmo Center for Research and Training was established in 2016 at Charmo University that was in Dec.8th, 2014, had become an independent. The message of the department is to facilitate higher education and to ensure high quality and plugged with mastery of the training process, leading to growth in personal knowledge and fulfillment requirements of the labour. The department also aspires to provide different degrees in science and to provide rich scientific programs of the information, skills and graduate students have the ability to work in various fields, as they have teaching and the ability to deliver information to students and prepare them with the life skills necessary for success.
Vision
Department of Chemistry's visions are to provide and scientific foundations, education and principles of chemistry and the opportunity for students as well undergraduate students to learn about the different branches of science (Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, Analytical chemistry, industrial chemistry, physical chemistry, inorganic chemistry and environmental chemistry).
Aims
Department of Chemistry aims to achieve a range of educational and training goals. Firstly, the department pprepare academic members are aware of and knowledgeable about the science of chemistry to become able to do research work also teaching duties. Second, it provides an opportunity for outstanding students to supplement their higher studies and by studying it in Master's and doctorate. Third, we aim to do training courses for students (observation and applied teaching, safety courses and courses on laboratory). Fourth, we are doing research and solving some of the problems that request from the department and are in the service of society. Fifth, we work to take advantage and gain of all the available resources and techniques to contribute to the development and improvement administrative and academic work within the unique educational environment adopts the study and experimentation and contributes in maintaining the overall quality of education.
