Opened on February 17, 2021, the Center of Pedagogy and Academic Development at Charmo University believes that great teachers change lives, and for that end, it works to aspire university-level instructors to make differences in their classroom environments and students’ mindsets.

Mission

The mission of the center is to continuously develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes of educators, specifically those who wish to teach at universities across the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. The aim is introduce prospective university instructors to the innovative pedagogical competencies that are key to promote our students’ critical thinking and equip them with the skills and competencies that they need to become active members in the community. The center also aims to train educators on the best possible methods and techniques that can empower students and create a learning environment that motivate them to take an active role in their learning process.
