Kudistanology Center - Professor Izzadin Mustafa Rasul Center
This center is established in 2020. It works with the aim of recognizing and introducing the unknown cultural characteristics of Kurdistan and has played an important role in the cultural activities of the university. Kurdish culture, history, strategic investigations and the development of Kurdistan is known as the main goal of the Kurdistanology Center. Moreover, it aims to conduct and stimulate reliable and creative research in the fields of language, culture, history, Kurdish literature, and the special and unknown aspects of Kurdistan.
The center operates in the fields of history, culture, literature, sociology, art and any area related to the nations that have lived in Kurdistan.
It tries to archive and protect historical evidence, which is written in Kurdistan and outside Kurdistan in general, and these documents contain both personal letters and books. This center tries to collect, protect and work on them academically.
Also, it holds annual scientific conferences for a field of Kurdistanology.
Objectives
- The framework of writing and research (Kurdish language, Kurdish history, Kurdish literature, Kurdish heritage, folklore literature, dictionary, Kurdish geography, Kurdish manuscript, collected folklore literature, Kurdish religions, Turkmen history and other nations who live in Kurdistan, cultural values and subjects in general...).
- Evaluating, rectifying, and investigating the researches, books, and opinions of foreigners that have been made available about Kurds and Kurdistan.
- It encourages writers, university teachers, and students to conduct cultural research.
- Present different and special suggestions and projects to the relevant parties about Kurdistanology through the articles and researches of the center, in order to be worked on.
- Promoting and developing the position of Kurdistanology in terms of producing scientific research on the local and international levels.
- Developing and highlighting the researches in regards to intellectual and theoretical subjects.
- Inventions in the areas that have an important and fundamental role.
- Professor Izzadin Mustafa Rasul Center, with the service it provides the Kurdish language, will be a prominent example in the society, and this will grow to become its identity.
- Focusing on the concept of discourse in a way that it fulfils the cultural and academic needs of the society.
- Developing activities in the area of joint research with international researchers.
