Planing the Wood

The Planer in Action...

We first planed the planks of wood in the plainer to make sure that they are square and not bode. This process consisted of passing the wood plank multiple times through the machine. Multiple people helped control the machine. There was one person who controlled the height and depth of which the wood will be planed. There were two people to hold the wood and pass it through correctly. Lastly, one person supervised the position and angle at which the board was being pushed at. It was important to have these people in the process because the piece of wood was long, which was a challenge, compared to when the pieces of wood were cut and shorter.
