At this time undocumented students are not eligible to join any branch of the US military.
Although there are currently limited options for DACAmented students to join the military, they must still register for selective service. According to the US Selective Services website, DACAmented males between 18-26 years old are required to register with the Selective Services. It is the law.
Failure to register may adversely impact a student’s future citizenship status and eligibility for government benefits, programs and even employment. However, it is important for students and parents to understand that the “...Selective Service System has not now, or in the past, collected or shared any information which would indicate an [individual’s] immigration status, either documented or undocumented. The Selective Service System has no authority to collect such information, has no use for it, and it is irrelevant to the registration requirement,” as stated by the Selective Service System. Because of this restriction, immigration data is not ever shared with anyone or any other agencies.
