Local Education Agency (LEA) Responsibilities*

The LEA must ensure...

Progress of all ELs is monitored in terms of proficiency and content knowledge.
ELs are achieving benchmarks for growth and assist those who are not making adequate progress.
Document that an EL has met English proficiency using a valid assessment in all four domains.
EL students are exited from the program at the appropriate time.
EL students exited from the program and services are monitored for four years and documents using an FEP document.
