Title III funds are used to supplement existing supports for English Learners.

Services provided in the LAP are funded by the general education fund.

Levels of funding are followed as described below

• Level 1 General Fund - Basic, local board-adopted curriculum & instruction that all students receive

• Level 2 General Fund - Office of Civil Rights Language Assistance Program that provides students both English language instruction and meaningful access to the core curriculum

• Level 3 Title 1, Part A (Gap reduction) 31a (early literacy & MTSS)

• Level 4 - Section 41 targeted supports (for levels 0-2.9)

• Level 5 - Title III supplemental services beyond levels 1-4. Must include direct language development, professional learning and parent outreach.
