1. Enter students in WIDA AMS
2. Place students into testing sessions
3. Print test tickets
4. Test the students
5. Score speaking and writing responses (must be certified to score responses)
6. Once the screener is scored, you can get individual student reports in WIDA AMS
7. Enter the WIDA scores into the OEAA Site
8. Identify the student as EL or not by using the MDE Entrance & Exit Protocol
9. Give Pupil Accounting staff a list of students who qualify for EL services to be entered into MSDS
10. Follow your Language Assistance Plan for providing services to students
The person scoring the screener needs to have a WIDA AMS account setup and must go through the online training modules to get certified to administer and score the test.
Certificates must be kept on file.
The person scoring the screener will need access enabled in WIDA AMS (call DRC to do this).
Alert the Technology Dept at least 2 weeks in advance that Chromebooks will be needed for testing.
