Canvas Studio is a media tool that allows teachers and/or students to create, edit, upload or share video and audio files. This includes screencasting with no time limit. The videos can be used as part of discussions, submitted as documentation for assignments or turned into video quizzes. Videos in Canvas studio can be shared with other users. There is a Youtube integration option as well.

Determine the instructional purpose of the video (information, Formative assessment quiz, reflection, or discussion)
Plan or prepare the content you want to include in Canvas Studio. (Find the YouTube or Vimeo link)
Upload, download, or create that content. (See resources for instructions)
Share with students (in Canvas, as a link in Seesaw, embedded into other digital platforms) *can be shared with colleagues for their use as well

Record an investigation for students to view and collect data
Add an annotation notecard in the video to focus attention on an aspect of the text
Ask students to identify elements of the story using the comment feature
Use a video with the comment feature to prompt a discussion/reflection over a topic
Digital Staff meeting- with quiz feature for accountability and questions.
Gather feedback on a topic using quiz feature
Share instructions for game/dance/project for students to reference out of class
