Minors under 16:
Federal law extremely limits the hours that minors under the age of 16 can work. Must have work permit.
Minors 16 and 17:
Can NOT work:
During before 7AM on any day that school is in session
After 11PM on any night preceding a school day
More than 5 hours without at least a 30 minute break
ALL minors must have a work permit prior to starting work.
