School Association Training Center CENFORES
The Training Center of School Association CENFORES was created in 2008 by the initiative of 19 school clusters and non-clustered schools of the Municipalities of Loures and Odivelas, in the Lisbon region. On August 27, 2008, the Training Center was approved, through an order approved by the Direção Geral da Educação, a General Direction of the Portuguese Ministry of Education. Currently, CENFORES is made up of 12 school clusters and one secondary school. The Training Center is based at the José Cardoso Pires Secondary School with 3rd Cycle of Basic Education, in Santo António dos Cavaleiros.

CENFORES and Associated Schools
CENFORES Training Center has 13 associated cluster schools (72 schools) with about 3 000 teachers and 30 000 learners.
Structure of the School Association Training Centers
The Portuguese School Association Training Centers are institutions whose main mission is the training of teaching and non-teaching staff of schools at all levels of non-higher education. There are 91 School Association Training Centers in mainland Portugal. The Autonomous Regions of Madeira and the Azores also have School Association Training Centers.
