WELCOME TO YOUR MUSIC CORNER
YEAR 2023-2024
We love music and we listen to music everyday.
There is a music style we are not used to listen to but it is worth knowing a little about it.
Talking about singing we are used to listen to singers who sing, more or less, in the same way but in Classical music, this is, in OPERA ,
singers have to develop a great singing technic because microphones are not usually used.
That is why OPERA SINGERS have such a peculiar way of singing.
In OPERA there are different type of voices, according to the variety of singers (male and female, for example) and the type of roles that have to be played on the stage.
In other music styles we have different voices too, although we don't usually classify them as in OPERA.
Let's see some examples, from different music styles of music where the voices change from one to another.
MALE VOICES
From the lowest to the highest voice we have:
Bass - Baritone (most common) - tenor - countertenor

We have started by listening, singing and showing in our hands high and low sounds.
And we have seen that these sounds all called NOTES, and that they are located down or up in the Staff.
These notes have their names on the door where they live, they are: E-G-A.
They talk saying: Mi-Sol-La, when we call them.
Do you remember their names?
Could you say on which line or space they live in the Staff?
Try to name the notes as they show us on their frontdoors in their house, the Staff.
Here you have a litte practice for you to learn it better.
