The Eiffel Tower is 1,063 feet tall!

The structure was built from 1887-1889. It was designed by Gustave Eiffel for the 1889 World's Fair. He created it to be the focal point of the World's Fair, and he succeeded! From 1889 to 1930, it was declared the tallest building in the world.

At first, the French artists in Paris were against the Eiffel Tower. Over time, they learned to appreciate it and the structure has become a symbol of France.

You can use the scale model to calculate the approximate height of the Eiffel Tower.

I know I need four of the scale models to measure the height of the Eiffel Tower. Each section of the scale equals approximately 265 feet. If I add 265 feet four times, it equals 1060 feet.

This tells me that the Eiffel Tower is approximately 1,060 feet tall.
