Hello! My name is Ariel Schantz. I am a junior Early Childhood Education (+4th/5th grade endorsement) major at Cedarville University. I have a strong passion for teaching and making learning fun for students. I believe that every student has tremendous potential, and I strive to help them achieve it. I am interested in building upon students' inquiries to help make the learning process natural and efficient. I enjoy incorporating art, music and different cultures into my lessons.
I was born and raised in Harrod, OH. I grew up in a Christian home with my parents, Bob and Gail, and my two sisters, Quinn and Maddie. Throughout my childhood, I participated in a number of activities including t-ball, dance, and 4-H. As I entered high school, I enjoyed many extracurriculum activities such as Student Council, SADD, FCA, French Club, National French Honors Society, Honors Society, golf, band, and musicals. While I was in high school, I assisted in a first grade classroom and discovered my love for teaching.
Although I am in college, I maintain two jobs to keep me busy. I work at Women's Health for Life scanning medical charts. I also tutor students for the CASE Math Exam, and I give golf lessons. In my free time, I primarily enjoy spending time with my boyfriend, Bret, and our families. I also have a cat named Chloe whom I absolutely adore!
