Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay (ELTB)
Mentorship in Motion
Earlier this year, we welcomed the Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay for their Hub for Business Committee’s signature Mentor Protégé Kick-Off event. Young professionals from across the region toured The Skills Center and began a yearlong mentorship journey with seasoned business leaders, building networks that strengthen our community.
National Leaders, Local Inspiration
The U.S. Conference of Mayors' Workforce Committee from across the country toured The Skills Center to see firsthand the economic impact we’re making in youth development and community building. They heard directly from Co-Founder and CEO Celeste Roberts and our community partners, leaving inspired by the dedication and vision driving our mission.
Lions World Vision Institute
Clear Vision, Bright Futures
In collaboration with Lions World Vision Institute and the Glazer Vision Foundation, The Skills Center provided vision screenings to more than 100 students, offering comprehensive eye exams and free glasses to those in need. This partnership is making a lasting difference in our students’ ability to learn, play, and thrive.
National Youth Employment Coalition (NYEC)
Taking Tampa’s Impact National
The Skills Center, alongside its collaborative partners G3 and GEMS, presented at the National Youth Employment Coalition convening in Minneapolis to share our strategic approach to youth and community development. This national platform highlighted our innovative, collaborative solutions and reinforced the importance of our work. Proud to have Hillsborough County Public Schools, and Combined Expertise join us!
Adding to this milestone, The Skills Center founders were recognized with the Innovative Program Award, celebrating their forward-thinking leadership and commitment to driving meaningful, lasting impact for young people and families in our community.
Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
