Art Content Standards

-Creates artwork using materials, tools, and technology

-Understands techniques and concepts

-Connects art to history, culture, and other disciplines

Analyzes, critiques, and reflects on artwork

*Before any project, students will be given guidelines and requirements in order to understand how to meet each content standard being assessed. Requirements will be displayed in class or on a handout as a visual reminder. They will be reminded of these requirements at the beginning of each class period and before turning work in.

- (K-8) In addition, the following criteria will be taken into consideration in along with the standards for each project.

1. Comprehension- responding to/asking questions and taking part in activities

2. Completion- objectives are met according to the assignment in a timely manner. Taking time on assignments and not rushing to get done.

3. Neatness- making sure the assignment is completed with pride and care

4. Achievement/Creativity- going above and beyond the expectations for the assignment (this will help you get above the standard on any assignment)
