Conrad Challenge Preparation Camp
Provider: CETIC Education
Teacher: Conrad Challenge Award winning STEM Instructors from CETIC and Mr. Brian Lai ( Alpha Quants )
The Conrad Challenge is a prestigious global competition, sponsored by NASA and MIT, that inspires high school students to become the next generation of entrepreneurs and responsible global citizens. Each year, teams from around the world design innovative solutions to real-world problems, with many projects advancing to actual implementation.
CDNIS students have already proven their excellence: For the 2024/25 Competition, both Team A and Team B made it as finalists in Conrad China round, with Team A winning the Gold Medal in Health & Nutrition at the Conrad Challenge China Chapter and went on to compete at NASA in Houston, U.S., earning the coveted Power Pitch Winner Award. For this 2025/26”s competition, again both CDNIS’s Team A & B made it as finalists to compete in the finalists round in Shanghai in end of March 2026.
Our Conrad Challenge Prep Camp is a 15-hour intensive program designed for students in Grades 7–12. Through interactive workshops and hands-on exercises, participants will develop core skills in innovative thinking, business planning, and teamwork. A key focus is learning how to use the Lean Canvas — a simple framework that helps students structure their ideas for pitching. Rather than writing a full business plan, students will gain a clear understanding of the background and structure required to present their innovations effectively. They will also learn to craft Innovation Briefs, preparing them to compete confidently on the global stage.
This year’s camp introduces exciting new dimensions: students will gain hands-on experience in building a robot and exploring how Artificial Intelligence can be integrated into its design. These activities not only spark creativity but also provide practical exposure to the cutting-edge technologies shaping the future. Camp graduates will be considered for selection to represent CDNIS in the Conrad Challenge in the 2026/27 competition. Beyond competition readiness, this camp empowers students with confidence, entrepreneurial skills, and future-ready knowledge that strengthens both university applications and career pathways.
