Tinsley Fowler "A Quiet Bloom"

My idea for this drawing was to make a black and white still life drawing. I decided to do a flower pot because I wanted to draw something other than an object like an apple. To draw this, I first started out by drawing the pot. I then drew the leaves along with the flowers and the shadow on the bottom. When everything was drawn I started to shade in the pot, the flowers, and the leaves. I used a blending stick and blended the pot to create a lighter shade for it. This artwork doesn't have a particular meaning. What was most difficult when drawing this was drawing the leaves and the flowers in a way that looked good. It took me about 2 tries to get the leaves in a place that looked good. To overcome these struggles I just kept on redrawing the leaves and flowers to have them look like they were in the pot. This drawing is a realistic drawing. What makes this drawing unique is that I drew my favorite flowers which are tulips. What I love about this drawing is the details that I added into the flower petals.
