i wanted to make something that shows a memory; this is one of my most recent photos of me and my sister. I don't see my sister very much, so I wanted something to remind me of her. I first started by painting my background a light blue. I then painted the sky half purple and blue and blended yellow on the left side. I used a big paintbrush to blend the sky and it took a lot of tries. i then started painting the water and added white touches. I used lots of different blues and greens for the ocean and then painted the sand. It symbolizes the importance of family and how much siblings impact your life. I want the audience to think about a time when they were just laughing and enjoying something with someone. Blending the sky colors was very hard because the purple and blue are very dark and the yellow is very light. I had to barely blend them to get a good mix. This is realistic art because it depicts two people standing on a beach. I absolutely love that you don't really know the people who they are or any background so you can imagine whatever you want.
