3x2x2 inches, it uses stoneware clay, and it was made in 2026
my main inspiration is oceanic whirlpools and vortex's. i am facinated by these as i have never understood for the longest time how whirlpools or vortexes form in the middle of the ocean. and i am also inspired by the ocean in general for most of my works.
i used stoneware clay and a potery wheel to make my work, i threw the clay onto the wheel and started to make the general shape of the vortex i wanted. i would let it cook in the kiln and then i glazed with artic blue and a siphire to get that water look.
it represents how with enough creativity and making certain choices can make something as simple as a wobbly looking cup into a good looking piece of work with something as simple as looking at a bigger picture.
this has taught me not to be angered or dissipointed by mistakes as those mistakes can open many more creative pathways then you origionaly had before.
