6x2x5 inches, it uses stoneware clay, and it was made in 2026 

my main inspiration is the ocean and the seas. ever seince i have been little i have always had a facination with the ocean. the thoughts of there being life that we had no idea exsisted was so cool to me and this is why i made this project. i am also insperd by how cool the ocean looks. the way the ocean looks when its storming makes it look like an alien planet compared to the rest of the earth.

i made this pot by taking two slabs and pressing a shape into them, i would then use a cutout used to make pots to cut out my clay into the shape needed, and then i would bend them together untill i could smooth them together to make the shape of a bowl. after this i would cook it in the kiln and then galze it with a deep blue and purple to give it its rich shade of blue and dark bluish purple colors.

its ment to represent how i am interested in teh ocean and how i see the ocean as a naturaly occuring work of art. the fact that we have only explored a small chunk of the ocean lets your mind open up to imagine so much about what could be in the unknown parts of the ocean, how deep it is, and how complex the ocean really is.

this taught me how to use what i am interested in and what i enjoy into a work of art in oredr ot visualize my imagination. this has let me open up my mind more and to start to get more creative with my work.
