Meeting proficiencies in Physical Education requires that students have a variety of experiences that will promote healthy attitudes and life long activities.

Activities in this course include more life long activities like: hiking, orienteering, kayaking, climbing, cross country skiing, biking and disc golf.
Students will meet proficiencies that will promote healthy attitudes and life long activities. The goal is to provide a wide variety of team and individual sports that appeal to a wide variety of students .
This course will provide students with an overview of today’s health issues and give them the skills to navigate them. Its purpose is to provide students with up to date health information and health skills that will help guide students in making better choices and more informed decisions about their health. The curriculum will cover a variety of topics. Possible topics include; psychology, depression, suicide prevention, nutrition, eating disorders, how to help a friend, refusal skills, addiction, reproductive systems, childbirth, methods of birth control, sexually transmitted infections, sexual harassment, healthy relationships, communication skills, CPR and more if there is time.
