Percussion Emsemble

The Percussion Ensemble is the core musical experience for all Ridgeline percussionists. Rehearsals occur as a regular class during the school day. Registration for Percussion Ensemble is open to all who want to play percussion instruments.

The Percussion Ensembles holds four concerts each year in collaboration with the Ridgeline Concert Band, Ridgeline Jazz Band and other school and community groups.

Every March the Percussion Ensemble attend the Utah Day of Percussion hosted by the Utah chapter of the Percussive Arts Society. This is a a judged festival where students will perform music learned in and out of class. The day is fantastic opportunity to attend world class clinics and performances by high school and university percussionists.

In April of every year the percussionists perform with the Ridgeline Concert Band in the UHSAA and UMEA sponsered Region Concert Band Festival. The ensemble, when it qualifies, also participates in the State Band Festival.
