ELCC Standard Alignment Rationale (Artifact 1): As a principal it is important to lead ethically. In order to do that it is necessary to understand how others in similar positions lead. Utilizing the connections I have built through teaching, I found it extremely important and relevant to utilize these principal interviews for their value in ethical leadership.

ELCC Standard Alignment Rationale (Artifact 2): Making important ethical and legal decisions is an important part of a principals job. In this case study I relate the legalities of special education to the ethical decisions that affect student learning and success. The rationale also provides an view of how I plan to create a learning environment of integrity, fairness and ethical leadership by holding accountability for every students academic and social success.

ELCC Standard Alignment Rationale (Artifact 3): Establishing a character education program in the school and documenting the activities needed to create a positive learning experience for all stakeholders is an important aspect in the role of principal. Creating this presentation gave me some insight into the importance of providing students a reason to have good character and be in touch with their self-worth through social emotional learning.

ELCC Standard Alignment Rationale (Artifact 4): This artifact can be connected to ELCC standard 5 "Ethical Leadership" through its connection to ethically placing teachers and the thorough process that goes along with the placements. It explains the importance of following school and district policy when making purposeful and legal decisions concerning hiring teachers and the placement process. This artifact also allowed me to reflect on professional practices related to using district policies and procedures to make purposeful and legal decisions when teachers are hired and placed.
