ELCC Standard Alignment Rationale:

Artifact 1: Case Study: Impatient Parents - This assignment aligns to this standard "Community" because it provides an explanation to a situation that deals directly with a parent (community stakeholder) who expects the school to provide a safe and positive school experience for her student. It also responds to a community member need by collecting and analyzing information to improve the student's educational experience.

Artifact 2: Case Study: Developing Professional Capacity - This artifact aligns to ELCC 4 "Community" because it shows how I would use the observation and evaluation process to build trust between leadership and staff. Staff members are some of the most important pieces of the school community. Although Student achievement is the reason for education, the staff must want to be successful. Creating a sense of community with all internal stakeholders is important to the overall success of the school and eventually the outside community.

Artifact 3: Performance Evaluation and Action Plan - This assignment aligns to ELCC 4 "Community". It shows that I understand and will collaborate with faculty by collecting and analyzing information pertinent to the improvement of the school’s educational environment. Combining verbal information with visual observations is important to the development of a positive school culture that sustains positive school relationships with staff and students who expect an available path to achievement.
