As Harriet walked home, many questions filled her brain like, what does this key open? Why is there a key in the middle of nowhere? Do I have the item that it opens? When Harriet came home the first thing she did was to place the key in her secret compartment, and never she never returned until the next morning. The following morning, Harriet woke up feeling strange. As Harriet prepared to do her daily routine she looked into the mirror to find that her hair was now a sage-greenish color and her eyes were a wicked purple. Harriet couldn’t believe the image that reflected in the mirror.
In the corner of Harriet’s eye she could see the secret compartment of where the key was beginning to glow. Suddenly, everything that happened since yesterday came back to Harriet. She now knew that the key was nothing normal. The sound of the school bus nearby caught Harriet’s attention, but instead of getting ready for school she ignored it and began to search for answers in why the shiny key was so special. As time went by Harriet began to look through websites that involved old antiques, until she came across an old antique shop that was nearby.
After Harriet put herself in disguise from her now green hair and purple eyes she headed straight to the antique shop. The antique shop was mostly empty except for a few items and an elderly woman that was named Lady Abigail. Without saying a word Harriet handed over the key and watched as the woman eyes widened.
“How did you find this?” asked Lady Abigail.
“I found it lying on the ground a day ago. Maybe you can help me figure out what the key goes to?” said Harriet.
Lady Abigail frowned before saying, “This is no ordinary key. This very key was made by a warlock named Sir Isaac The Greatest. After your kind made it clear that they wanted no more evil, Sir Isaac did everything in his power to ruin society. What you have here is his creation. If I were you, I would destroy this before Sir Isaac messes with your life even more. This key is cursed.”
Harriet’s eyes and mouth were both opened from shock before saying, “How do you know all of this?”
“Many years ago, I was just like you. I had the green hair, purple eyes, and that very key.
“I couldn’t destroy the key because the next stage of the curse turned me into a witch. I had no way out until I opened this shop,” said Lady Abigail while shaking her head.
Harriet grabbed the key and went outdoors to smash the key. She used all her force to crumple the key into small pieces. Suddenly, Harriet’s now purple eyes and green hair turned back to the golden locks of hair and blue mellow eyes. The glow from the key had stopped, leaving the curse to to end and Harriet to move on with her life. However, Sir Isaac the greatest had seen it all. The key was ruined, which meant that he was ruined too but this wasn’t the end. Sir Isaac was far from being over with ruining the world that he despised the most. Throughout the years no one heard from Sir Isaac, the warlock but he was still in the other land seeking for more revenge.
