As the boys basketball season comes to a close, we interviewed a few rising 9th graders about their experience on the team. The boys basketball season runs from the end of November to the end of January. The team played 11 games and also had the chance to advance to the playoffs. The Saliors played one playoff game against the Carver Cougars. They ended their season by winning 8 games and losing 3.

Coach Question
Q. Why should someone join track?
A. People should join track because it's really good for your cardiovascular health since we run every day during practice. You run Monday through Friday from 2:05 to 3:45pm every day. Other than that, I also teach things like how to stretch, how to build muscle, and how to maintain a good diet, so you don't just eat Takis all day and "become gross" - because that's something that happens to people who eat Takis all day. We also teach you responsibility, respect for other teams, and we teach you what it's like to work on a team together.

Athlete Question
Q. What would you say to someone who is debating joining the track team?
A. Track is a very fun after school activity that allows you to be with your friends and have fun running.
