Welcome to LMS Football!

WHO: All Interested 7th & 8th Graders!!

WHAT: Football Tryouts

WHERE: LMS Practice Field or Gym

WHEN: Begin August 5, 2024. Please have your rides pick you no later than 5pm.

HOW: Students will sign-up by turning in the sign-up form at the bottom of the tryout letter (due the first day of tryouts).

SKILLS ASSESSED:

(depending on position) Running, blocking, tackling, passing, receiving, 

Everyone: football knowledge, endurance, coachability

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Complete physical packets MUST be updated in Dragonfly Max BEFORE conditioning/tryouts.

ALL physicals MUST be current and uploaded into Dragonfly Max. We will not accept any paper physicals.

Students need to have cleats or athletic shoes, shirt, shorts, and water bottle/water jug.

ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY:

1st Semester Eligibility is based on a student being promoted. If a student is promoted, they are eligible for 1st semester.

2nd Semester Eligibility is based on the student passing 5 of 6 classes during the 1st semester.

A student who will reach the age of 16 on or prior to May 1st is not eligible in middle school competition.

SPRING FOOTBALL CAMP:

May TBA, 2025 from 2:45-4pm.  More details to come.

Please have your rides pick you up no later than 4:15pm.

We will NOT be wearing any equipment. 

Athletes will be taught football basics and techniques.

ACCLIMATION & CONDITIONING:

Begins July TBA, 2025. 10-11:30am at LMS. 

Please have your rides pick you up no later than 11:45am.

Athletes will begin becoming accustom to the football climate and environment.

ALL football and basketball tickets MUST be purchased via GoFan. Columbia County Schools are not offering cash

tickets at the gate. LMS is offering the option to purchase season passes that will save you some money on the

transaction fees. Season passes are valid for regular season home games only. Tickets for playoffs and championships

will have to be purchased separately.

● General Admission Football Ticket - $5 per game, $15 for season passes

● Student Admission Football Ticket - $4 per game, $12 for season passes

■ Create your account by following the directions (email and password)

○ In the box below “Get Tickets Now”

■ Type “Lakeside Middle School”

■ Select “Lakeside Middle School Evans, GA”

○ Click on the desired event you would like to attend and enter the number of tickets you will need.

○ Click “Buy Tickets.” to be prompted to enter credit card information and complete your transaction.

■ There is a $1 per ticket transaction fee.

■ If you purchase 5 individual game tickets, there is a $5 transaction fee.

■ If you purchase season passes, you will save money on the transaction fees.
