Welcome to LMS Baseball!

WHO: All Interested 6th, 7th & 8th Graders!!

WHAT: Baseball Tryouts

WHERE: LMS Baseball Field or Gym

WHEN: January 20-21, 2026 EVERYONE, from 3-5pm.

Please have your rides pick you no later than 5:15pm.

HOW: Students will sign-up by turning in a teacher recommendation form and turning in the bottom portion of the tryout letter (after January 1st, but due the Wednesday before tryouts).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Complete physical packets MUST be turned in PRIOR to tryouts.

Students need to have cleats, bat, glove, helmet, and water bottle/water jug.

Students should wear cleats, softball pants/short, and tshirt for tryouts.

Students should bring equipment to school and will be allowed to store it in the locker room.

Students will be allowed to change after school and go down to the baseball field.

For students that make the team, a jersey and one pair of socks will be provided. 

ACADEMIC ELIGIBILITY:

1st Semester Eligibility is based on a student being promoted. If a student is promoted, they are eligible for 1st semester.

2nd Semester Eligibility is based on the student passing 5 of 6 classes during the 1st semester.

A student who will reach the age of 16 on or prior to May 1st is not eligible in middle school competition.

CONDITIONING:

There will be pre-season conditioning this year, January 12th-16th 2:45-4pm. 

Please wear athletic attire and bring a glove and water bottle.

Bat Information:

JV (B) Team:  USA stamped bats -5/-10 or BBCOR -3. 

Varsity (A) Team: USA -5 only or BBCOR -3. 

USSSA bats are not allowed.

Pitch Count Rules:

1-30 = 0 days off

31-44 = 1 day rest

45-64 = 2 days rest

65-90 = 3 days rest
