Director of Bands

Zachary Bradley

Mr. Zachary Bradley is a native of Lancaster, South Carolina, and a graduate of Augusta State University in Augusta, GA where he received his bachelor’s degree in Instrumental Music Education. Mr. Bradley also holds a Masters of Music Education from the University of West Georgia and an Education Specialist degree in Teacher Leadership as well as Educational Leadership certification from Thomas University. Prior to becoming the Director of Bands at Evans High School, Mr. Bradley served as the Music Specialist at Riverside Elementary School in Evans, GA where he taught General Music to grades K-5, and also directed the Riverside Chorus, which consisted of selected fourth and fifth grade students. In addition to teaching at Riverside, Mr. Bradley served as the Assistant Director of Bands at Evans High School for four years. Mr. Bradley was named "2015-16 Teacher of the Year" at Riverside Elementary, and has also received two Auggie Awards for his work with the Augusta Players.  Bands under the direction of Mr. Bradley have received numerous Superior ratings in both Marching Band and Large Group Performance Evaluation and have traveled to Orlando, FL, Washington, DC, and Honolulu, HI to represent the Evans community. 

Mr. Bradley remains active as an adjudicator, marching band instructor, private teacher, and performer. He is currently a member of Savannah River Winds, a professional adult concert band, and serves as Music Director often with the Augusta Players. As a clarinetist, vocalist, and conductor, Mr. Bradley has performed with the Augusta Players, Augusta State Opera Ensemble, the Augusta Concert Band, the Augusta State University Orchestra, Augusta State University Singers, and Symphony Orchestra Augusta. Mr. Bradley is a member of the Georgia Music Educators Association, NAfME, the National Band Association, and the Atlanta Orff Chapter. Mr. Bradley lives in Martinez, GA and has a wonderful daughter, Peyton, who is frequently at band events thinking she is the one in charge, two dogs: Piper and Willow, and cat, Crown.

Assistant Director of Bands

Patrick Williams

Patrick Williams is a percussionist from Grovetown, GA and has a BA in music education. Additionally, Mr. Williams has studied percussion performance under Ivan Trevino, as well as jazz drumset and vibraphone under Wycliffe Gordon. Mr. Williams has also had the opportunity to learn compositional techniques from Bret Kuhn, Cliff Walker, Jeff Prosperie, Ralph Hardimon, and Mike McIntosh. Prior to becoming the assistant at Evans High school, Mr. Williams has also instructed at Grovetown High school and Harlem High School.

 

Mr. Williams has performed with groups that have toured across the United States. Such musical groups include: Augusta University’s Wind Ensemble, Orchestra, and Jazz Band, the Aiken Civic Orchestra, World Class Equinox Percussion, Open Class Southwind DBC, World Class Music City DBC, and 7 time DCI World Class Champion The Cavaliers DBC.

 

When he is not assisting the band, Mr. Williams enjoys cooking food for his wife and son.
