Winning at States (or bumping into a qualifying spot) is one of the greatest achievements you can get in the competitive sphere of DECA. But after that glorious win, there's an even greater level you can reach. The International Career Development Conference, hosted at the end of April, is similar to States, but one a whole new scale. Now, you're competing against some of the world's greatest DECA competitors to get that coveted DECA glass.
In terms of the competition itself, ICDC is similar to States - there is both a presentation and a roleplay (individual testers will do 2 roleplays for preliminaries). Students competing at ICDC are greatly encouraged to study and practice much more than they did for states. Competitors that get past the first round (preliminaries) at ICDC will complete another roleplay or presentation. While there are more rounds and MUCH more competition, reaching for an international title is definitely an experience you don't want to miss!
