7th Grade ELA Course Description
This class is intended to provide you with opportunities and resources to develop the skills of reading, writing, listening, and speaking in a faith filled environment. Our primary objectives in English language arts will be mastery of different writing styles, demonstration of the rules of grammar, and the ability to express yourself effectively through various mediums of communication.
You will read a variety of literature and informational texts, as well as routinely write to examine a topic, convey ideas, and support claims. The main objective is placed on developing analytical skills, where you will cite textual evidence and provide elaboration to support that evidence.
Because we are a community of learners, you will also work periodically in cooperative learning situations and present information to your peers in collaborative teams, as well as individually.
