As stated on page 10 of the CCS Student Handbook:
In the case of late projects, the student’s grade is dropped one (1) letter grade per/day until the project is turned in. Upon the 5th day, a zero may be given.
The assignment of zeros for homework is at the teacher’s discretion. A ½ credit for (1) day late or other options are at the discretion of the teacher. Because homework should not represent more than 20% of a student’s overall grade, a zero should not be the cause for failure.
**If you submit an assignment late, you must email me to request me to regrade your work.
If you submitted a late assignment, please be patient. I will update FACTS in a timely manner.
Students are expected to check Google Classroom (see AGENDAS), complete the assignments, and adhere to the deadlines. Email the teacher or phone a friend if you are absent to see what you might have missed.
In the case of make-up tests, the student will have two (2) dates for making up a test. If the student does not make up the test on one of the optional test dates, a zero may be given.
Students are not allowed to make up tests during class/elective time.
Make-up testing for 7th grade will be held at 3:00 on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week.
CCS students are expected to maintain the highest form of character and not participate in any activities involving direct or indirect academic cheating of any kind. Violations include, but are not limited to, the following:
Giving or receiving questions or answers for a test, quiz, AR test, classwork, or homework assignment.
Copying, duplicating, sharing, or transmitting by any means, any assignment that will be turned in as original work, including homework, unless it was a collaborative group assignment.
Using any type of smart watch, cell phone, calculators, or other electronic devices when it is prohibited by the teacher.
Plagiarism of any kind without proper citation of material or source. Plagiarism is the act of copying the thoughts, ideas, words, or other intellectual property of another, is a serious situation, and it will NOT be tolerated under any circumstance.

Weekly homework grades will be entered into FACTS.
In addition to studying for assessments, I also expect you to spend time outside of class reading AR and required novels.
Your daily reading time goal outside of school should be 15+ minutes per day!
When absent, it is your responsibility to find out you have missed:
IDEAS:
Check Google Classroom.
Email me.
Text a reliable classmate.
Upon your return, you will be allowed one day per excused absence to complete your missing work; otherwise, you will earn a zero.
Be prepared to take a scheduled test or quiz upon your return. You are not guaranteed extra days to study.
