About the Wellness Center
The CUSD Wellness Center is a school-based resource available to CHS students. Our goal is to offer students a space and support to address mental health needs, develop greater self-awareness, and the skills necessary to make thoughtful decisions about behavior, coping with challenges, managing academics, and daily choices that contribute to overall well-being.
Mental health services provided by the Wellness Team are voluntary and short-term school-based interventions aimed at supporting the student’s emotional wellness and functioning in the school setting. These interventions may include check-ins with students, individual interventions, in-school crisis support, case management, community referrals, and use of the Wellness Center facilities.
Our services can be an initial level of intervention for students who are struggling and waiting to connect with care in the community, or adjunct support to students who are already connected to treatment through community providers. We are not able to provide clinical treatment or replace mental health care for concerns that go beyond school-based functioning.
The Wellness Center is open during school hours and the school calendar year. We are closed during school breaks, summer, and holidays.
