Specialist Activities
Physical Education - Mrs. Carmel / Mr. Hunt / Mrs. Laughlin
An activity has been placed in the Activities section of the Seesaw account, entitled "April 13-17 Grades K-4 Ball Skills - Striking, Rolling Skills and Kicking Skills." The activity will be used for both days your son/daughter has P.E. and is broken down to reflect what is expected each day.
Please email your child's PE teacher with any questions or concerns.
**An April vacation extension activity (April Activity Extensions) has been placed in the assignment section of Seesaw and can be accessed after 6 p.m. on Friday night for the coming week. Teachers will not be available via email over vacation and this is not mandatory, but instead is something for our students to enjoy if they (and their parents/guardians) choose.
Art - Mrs. Levy
Hi Kindergarten Friends,
Please go to your Seesaw account for our latest art activity, "Hatching Egg", inspired by the story "The Good Egg" by Jory John.
For this activity you will need the following art materials:
Printable Egg Template (see below), one sheet of white printer paper, scissors, glue stick, and markers
Music - Ms. Thomforde
Week of April 13 - April 17th:
Thomforde Family Live Concert Tonight! If any of you tried to tune in last night, you'll know that I didn't manage to get all of the technology up and running. Dr. Sidell will send out a new link to my YouTube Live concert for 7:00 p.m. tonight (4/17)! Tune in for Scottish tunes, Bach, and an eclectic mix of children's piano music!
- Make and Shake: Look around your house (and potentially in your recycle bin!) for materials to make a shaker instrument. Possible containers could include: yogurt containers, plastic eggs, cardboard egg cartons, toilet paper tubes, plastic bottles, etc. Possible materials to go inside your shaker could include: rice, beans, pebbles, popcorn kernels, etc. It can be interesting to try two different materials to compare the sounds. Once you make your shaker, sing some of our known songs and shake along!
In addition, you can access a list of our repertoire here: Kindergarten Repertoire List 2019-2020
Library - Ms. Bery
Please check Wednesday's page for this week's new unit. The read-aloud from last week's Zoom session is also available in Seesaw.
