Assignment Two: Math Game

Play this math card game alone or as a team. This game is played with a deck of regular playing cards.

Lay out 20 cards on the table (leave out face cards or change them to equal 0, while aces equal 1). Take turns. Kids remove sets of cards that add up to 10, ultimately trying to remove all the cards from the table. It’s harder than you think! Players may remove 2 or more cards that add up to 10.

Assignment Three: Writing

Use the paper below to write a journal entry. Please remember that we use our neatest handwriting when we write in our journals. Remember to use uppercase letters at the beginning of sentences and names. Please remember to use punctuation at the end of sentences. Think carefully about trick words and try to spell them correctly. Don't forget you can use your trick word sheet to help you spell your words. Please try to write more than one page. You may take a picture of your writing and upload it to your Seesaw journal. If you're not sure what to write about you can try writing about your weekend, or what your favorite thing to do is when you aren't doing school work, or write about your favorite movie.
