You will use your one of your Husky Home Day packets for today.

Begin by writing your name and the date on the packet.

Activity One: Reading

Read a book and write the title of the book on your packet.

Activity Two: Writing

Write a journal entry for today. Tell us what you have done recently - it might be something you did today, or something you did last week or over the weekend! Did you stay inside? Did you go outside? Who played with you? Did you invent something? Did you play a game with someone? Remember to use uppercase letters for the beginning of sentences and names. Remember to put punctuation at the end of your sentences! You can take a picture of your journal and upload it to your Seesaw account. We would love to be able to read them and see what you have been doing!

Activity Three: Math

You will need your deck of cards for today's game.

Fishing for Tens

Materials: A set of number cards

Number of Players: 2 – 4

Shuffle the cards and put them number-side down in a pile.

Each player takes 5 cards. Remove pairs of cards that add to 10 from your hand, and place them number-side up on the table.

Draw cards from the pile so you have 5 cards again.

Take turns. When it is your turn:

Fish by asking another player for a card you need to make a combination of 10.

If that player does not have the card you need, go fish, or draw a card from the pile.

Place any combinations of 10 in your hand number-side up on the table.

Make sure everyone’s cards add to 10.

Play until there are no more cards in the pile and nobody can make another combination of 10.

The Continents song

Before starting our next continent, I thought we should review the continents song. Click here to listen to the song and sing along: drive.google.com/file/d/12x7sGWVzEoplkXTdU5f3AQYiPDlaqEJl/view?usp=sharing

As we sing, see if you can find each continent on the map. Check with an adult to make sure you are pointing to the correct continent. Then you can make a video of yourself singing the song and send it to me. This assignment is also posted in Seesaw.

Chinese 中文

Do you miss our Chinese class? How about have some Chinese meditation today? If you have sisters or brothers, you can invite them to join you. I believe they know how to do it as well. Remember in the hallway we greet each other and then sit down criss-cross applesauce, close your eyes, breathe in and out, imagine the beautiful sunshine above your head, open your both hands as the solar penpals, charge good happy energy... Here is the music. Enjoy it!
