Using Technology at Home

Lexia: A reading program where students work at their individual levels. Students work to move on to new levels as they travel across the world.

Prodigy: This is an internet based site that challenges students’ math skills! It is very engaging and teachers are able to assign students different standard based questions. Not all classrooms are using Prodigy. If your child’s classroom is, you will be able to get the username and password information from the teacher.

Moby Max: Many teachers use this for both reading and math. The lessons are based on individual student needs!

myON: Online books that are high interest and very engaging. Books can be read aloud to children, or the voice can be turned off so students can read the book on their own.

To Log in At Home: www.clever.com/in/coopersville

You will have the choice to log in with Google or Clever.

If you do NOT have a Clever Badge (provided by your child’s teacher), hit login with Google.

PLEASE NOTE: only K-2 Students have a Clever Badge. 3-5 students must log in with Google.

Logging in with Google: If you choose log in with Google, please contact your child’s teacher for his or her login information. You may contact Stacey Goodwin for this information as well (sgoodwin@capsk12.org or 616-997-3347).

Once you sign in you will see different programs students can access. Please click the Core5 for Lexia. You can also log in to myON and Moby from here and if you scroll down you will see direct links to many of the sites available to students.

Please Note: If your child logs in on a device that is shared with others in the house, you will need to make sure no one else is logged into Google. To ensure this, go to www.google.com and on the top right you will see a letter in a circle, click here and you will see whoever is logged into Google and a sign out option. You will need to do this after your child finishes on the device if you want to log back in as someone else.

Logging in with a Clever Badge: Select log in with Clever (QR Square). You must have a camera on your computer for this to work as students need to hold their Clever badge up to a camera. When they do this, it will automatically log the student on to their Clever account and they can they access Lexia Core 5 and other programs mentioned above.

Other Options for Logging In:

You can log in to Moby Max and Lexia through the websites.

Lexia:

1. To use on a computer, go to www.lexiacore5.com.

2. To use on an iPad, iPad mini, or Android* tablet, download the free Lexia Reading Core5 app from the App store or the Google Play store. *Android support is limited to these devices: Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 and Tab S2, and Google Nexus 7” (2012 and 2013) and 10”. The app will not work on other devices, including Kindle.

The first time your child uses Core5, you may need to enter the teacher email shown below. Your child can then log in with the username and password used at school and listed below.

Teacher Email (for setup)

Username: Student Number (contact Stacey Goodwin or child’s teacher for this)

Password: Student Number (contact Stacey Goodwin or child’s teacher for this)

It is important that your child works without any help while using Core5. All of the work your child does at home is recorded and reported to school. This way, teachers can see when help is needed and provide additional instruction at school.

Moby Max:

1. Go to www.mobymax.com

2. Search for your school or enter school code.

   1. South: mi5233

   2. East: mi875

   3. West: mi879

3. Enter username (contact child’s teacher or Stacey Goodwin) and password (caps)

Prodigy:

If your child is in a classroom in which they are using prodigy, they will need the username and password from their classroom teacher. They can log in two ways.

1. https://prodigygame.com/Play/ (after going to this link your child will need to go to the brown log in option to log in.

2. Access the link by logging in to Clever. Once in Clever, scroll down to links and Prodigy is an option.

myON:

Currently, the only way to log on to myON is through Clever. To log in with Clever, students will need their Clever badge or to log in through Google (explained above). Please ask your child’s teacher or Stacey Goodwin for this.
