You can substitute math manipulatives and books with whatever you have at home! If you complete all of these, go ahead and do any of the activities listed in the other tabs above!

Big Idea: Practice with Comparing
Warm up: Number recognition and subitizing!
Materials: Whiteboard and marker or paper and pencil
Play doh, Paper plate ring, homemade spinner (using a paper plate, writing tool, push pin and paper clip)
Other options instead of spinner: Dice, Deck of Cards,
Big Idea: Asking questions before, during and after reading
Asking questions about a text helps you understand and remember what you read.
Materials: Pencil, paper, whiteboard, marker (if desired)

Big Idea: Practice with Comparing
Materials: Dice, paper and pencil or whiteboard and marker, 3 sticky notes (write an "L" on one, "G" on one, and "E" on another)
Other options: Spinner from Monday or a Deck of Cards. Play this game with chalk on the sidewalk!
If your child has their math workbook they may do pages 165-166 for comparing practice.
Please send a comparison picture to your teacher.
Big Idea: Answer questions about reading and write about what you learned.
Use informational writing to write about something you learned about Dragonflies.
Materials: Pencil, paper and crayons
Extension: Write about something else you know a lot about! Maybe another type of animal or toy? Tomorrow you will get to write about your mom or grandma - someone you know lots about!
