Welcome to Ceramics II+! I'm so excited you decided to continue your clay journey. There's so much to learn and so many things to PLAY with. I hope you keep a sense of wonder and play in this class. I encourage you to make mistakes and to take risks!

We start with a 4-week boot camp to review how to use basic hand-building techniques and surface design applications. After submitting a portfolio of these practice pieces, we start on the "real" artwork. 

You'll have dedicated class periods for learning basic skills on the wheel.

We'll make a series of decorated wall tiles using the following methods:

• Mishima

• Sgraffito

• Monoprinting

• Stencils/Paper resist

• and more!

• Take photos of final project.

• Airdrop/email photo to laptop/iPad

• Put away phone and bag.

• Clean personal box

• 30 minutes of cleaning

• Artist Statement
