We will have a 4-week boot camp to remind ourselves how to use basic hand-building techniques! These practice pieces do not need to be fired to completion. Instead, you will take photos along the way and submit a portfolio using Google Slides.
After Boot Camp. we will make artwork based on themes.

Create a series of 10 test tiles of the following surface design treatments:
Bisqueware: Full dip in "Glaze A" and let dry. Vertical half dip in "Glaze A."
Bisqueware: Full dip in "Glaze A" and let dry. Full dip in "Glaze B."
Bisqueware: Full dip in "Glaze A" and let dry. Paint on simple designs with "Glaze B."
Bisqueware: Full dip in "Glaze A" and let dry. Paint simple designs with wax and let dry 10 minutes. Full dip in "Glaze B."
Bisqueware: Full dip in "Glaze A" and let dry. Gently wash off some glaze and leave in texture.
Bisqueware: Underglaze inlay. Paint on underglaze and let dry. Gently wash off some glaze and leave in texture.
Greenware: Sgraffito through underglaze. Bisque fire. Vertical half dip in clear glaze.
Greenware: Painted underglaze designs (NOT a solid color). Bisque fire. Vertical half dip in clear glaze.
Greenware: Monoprinting. Bisque fire. Vertical half dip in clear glaze.
Greenware: Paper resist. Bisque fire. Vertical half dip in clear glaze.
