Hi Room 7 Friends!
All of your teachers miss you so much! We hope that you are spending a lot of time playing with your family and reading a lot of stories! We have added some of the fun things that we enjoy doing as a class in room 7. We hope you have fun teaching your family our circle and music and movement songs that we love! - What day is it?:
Have your child guess what day of the week it is. Today starts with the (example: /m/, /t/, /w/, /th/, /f/ sound). Once they have guessed it, have them repeat "Today is ____". To make it more challenging, you can have them guess what day tomorrow will be. If they need a clue, you can give them the beginning sound. Once they have guessed the next day, have them repeat "Tomorrow will be ____".
- Counting:
Count the numbers on the calendar until you reach the current date. State "(example) Today is Monday, March 30th", while pointing at the words on the calendar. Have your child repeat this.
