1. Introduction: Who are you and what did you hope to achieve? (suggested time: 5 min)

A. Attention Getter / A Hook: Use a story, personal experience, background info, a joke, a quote…create a "hook" to catch the audience's attention.

B. State your purpose/ goal in the form of a Driving Question.

C. State which Pathway(s) you will complete.

D. Introduce your mentor for the project, how he/she helped you, what his/her background is.

2. Body: How did you accomplish your project? (suggested time: 5-10 min)

A. Background or interest in the project.

a. Prior knowledge.

b. Reasons for choosing the project.

B. Describe the project design, product, and fieldwork.

a. Explain how you went about completing your project.

b. Discuss the problems/solutions of the project.

c. Discuss the time and costs involved and how you met those demands.

C. Explain/Teach one key aspect or key skill from your project: show/ teach the judges how to do it. Note: all Capstones must show math competency per the rubric.

3. Conclusion: What did you learn and how could you have done it better? (suggested time: 10-15 min)

A. Per the rubric, you must reflect upon and assign yourself a grade (a 0, 1, or 2 with justification) for how well you accomplished the Knowledge (both ELA and Math competencies), and two of the other six traits (Agency, Civility, Innovation, Integrity, Agility, and Tenacity). Those traits you do not present, be ready to justify a grade and answer questions from the board.

B. Call to Action - What would you encourage your audience to do with the knowledge you have presented to them?

C. Discuss your plans after graduation and how this project helped you to achieve them.
