How can Google Calendar help my child?

Google calendar is an easy way for your child to see what assignments they have due for their Google Classrooms. All assignments posted in Google Classroom with due dates are automatically added. Your child can also create events to add tests or other important dates so they don't get forgotten. The calendar can be viewed by day, week, month or year.

How can my child access Google Calendar?

Your child can access Google Calendar in a few ways. After your child has logged in to Google, s/he can:

  1. Click the open circle (on a Chromebook) and search for Google Calendar

  2. Open a new tab, click the grey waffle icon on the top right to access all of the Google Apps and select the Calendar icon

  3. From a browser, type Calendar.google.com and sign in using their Canastota CSD credentials.

How can my child add an event to Google Calendar?

From Google calendar, clck on the date that you want to create an event for. Give it a title, select the dates for the event and times if necessary. Then click save at the bottom.
