The bombs were immensely destructive. After the first moments after detonation, the hypocenter was nearly bare of all the buildings and people that had been there seconds before. People were trapped beneath rubble, burned alive, or seeking shelter and aid. We will present you with statistics on how many died and how many were injured, the symptoms of radiation sickness, and the long-term effects of radiation.
Radiation’s effects on survivors years after shows that the bomb's effects on its victims are everlasting. To bring to light the devastating effects, we created one video to share hibakusha stories about radiation sickness and a second video with statistics and the different symptoms of the sickness.
We hope you can start to see what sort of consequences a bomb could have on you and the people that are dear to you.
We would like for you to consider: Should we abolish nuclear weapons from the world when the impacts on people are beyond inhumane? How can people survive through this?
Sincerely,

The bombs were dropped over 75 years ago. Then, people did not know of radiation and its effects. People were not evacuated so the effects of radiation were detrimental.
The fight against radiation is hard and can for the rest of one's lifetime. When the bombs were first dropped, there was no treatment, and there were endless patients.
People who were in stable condition after the initial blast soon would get worse. Some even died. Radiation does not show on the surface, like a burn. It's deep inside the body and it takes time.
Please listen to the words of the hibakusha, survivors, in this video.

The bombs were dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki over 75 years ago. Back then, no one knew that how much these would affect Hiroshima and Nagasaki. These cities were treated as the first experiments of nuclear weapons.
Our video talks about how destructive these bombs were by using statistics and explaining radiation effects. We want you to realize how much these nuclear weapons were dangerous.
